It all began with a shared interest in clay, studios and an inspiration to spread creativity and knowledge…

This collaboration formed between four studio mates in Brighton, who came together to form ‘Clay Haven’. Between us we have a wide variety of skills which we intend to pool together to form a creative, community interest company. We will offer a number of studio pods, to be shared between 2/3 independent potters. A communal area, used for teaching classes, holding workshops and demonstrations etc and a space for exhibiting beautiful work which has been created by the artists renting space, the collaborators, or as a result of the workshops held in the space. It is important to us, that as part of this project we can enable the local community to get involved with clay. With this in mind, we will be collaborationg with other local businesses and council run establishments to offer workshops and events alongside this, such as wood-firing weekends’
